HOW I GOT TO A VEGAN/COMPLETE VEGETARIAN DIET
Since I was in love with bows, shooting animals seemed quite fun for a while as
I had dynamic targets and I had to practice stealth and sneakiness. Slitting
their throats wasn’t that fun at all, especially when I had to cut ducks.
Chickens were never a problem, catching them was fun again and cutting them was
sparing me of all the monstrous scandal they were making. But ducks weren’t
fighting back... they were just watching. I couldn’t cut them and that troubled
me for a while...
Since I grew up at the countryside I used to think that I love animals... I
used to play with them, especially when they were small and I thought that some
animals are for eating, some are for using them to help us – like horses, and
some are for playing – like cats and dogs. It took me a while until I realized
that they are not here to entertain us in any way. They are here for the very
same reason we are here – to live and enjoy life.
I also used
to eat pretty much anything and although I was eating all sorts of meat types
and dairy I also had calcium deficiencies and vitamin deficiencies as a
teenager – a period when I really didn’t care about what I ate or drank as long
as it tasted good or made me feel good.
The doctors told me that happened because I was eating too much
processed foods, drinking too many sodas, and didn’t eat enough cooked meals –
that was also true, since after age 8 I grew up at host families in the city
and only visited the countryside during summer and winter holidays. But nobody
ever told me that it is not healthy to eat meat, cheese, milk & eggs.
Later on, after I started my University studies, I just had a feeling that
probably I should turn vegetarian. There was no obvious reason. I didn’t watch
any movies or anything like that. In the faculty I had a friend who was a
vegetarian and, unlike me, he wasn’t skinny at all. Since I have always been
more skinny my biggest fear was not to get even weaker if I turn vegetarian.
Practicing martial arts and hearing about all sorts of martial arts masters who
were vegetarians – like the shaolin monks – I thought it would also be cool to
turn vegetarian at a point, after my 50s or so. So first I said, I have to eat
well to get strong since I haven’t yet got over my growth period. But, seeing that this colleague of mine
wasn’t skinny at all I also started to believe that there should be a way not
to eat meat and not to starve.
At the same time, in my head I also had that look of those ducks I cut at the countryside, and
something was telling me that was wrong.
Religiously speaking, I was also coming from an Orthodox Christian background
which I left when I was around 13 years old. But until I was 13 I was so into
it that I wanted to become a priest so I studied the Christian scriptures quite
intensively for that age. All the bureaucracy in the Church and the fact that
they weren’t allowing me to masturbate, not even have sex or have a girlfriend
before getting married didn’t make any sense to me or to what I was reading, so
I quit for good the idea of becoming a priest.
Plus, in order to become an Orthodox Christian priest you have to first
get married. So I thought, how can you get married if you are not allowed to
have a girlfriend before you get married? I mention all this to get to those
scriptures I read which were talking about people who were fasting for all
their lives and who were stronger than those who used to eat meat... I remember
I even asked a priest during my confession if it is ok to kill animals
because... you know... there is that commandment there telling “not to kill”.
He said it’s ok to kill animals because they have no souls. So I was at peace
for a while... for until I got over all this religious story. But then, this
question came back...
Slowly, I was more and more convinced that it is not normal to kill the animals
in order to eat them. So, I quit eating meat. But I thought that, being so used
to eating meat, my body may give me some troubles. That’s why for the first
month I still ate fish... I used to love (to eat) fish and also to go
fishing. This happened soon before
Christmas. And before Christmas, all the Christians go fasting, but the day
before Christmas they cut the pigs and turn all their parts into Christmas
meals. So, when my family first saw that I no longer eat meat they thought I
was fasting but the shock was even greater to see that on Christmas morning I
reject all the “delicacies”. Of course,
they thought I was crazy, as they usually used to think when I would do
something different than them. “What are you going to eat then!?”
Of course their reactions bothered me and then I started to get myself more
educated about this topic. So I first watched “Earthlings”... I was sad, happy
and proud after watching it. Knowing that I no longer take part in some of
those horrors... But still there was the part about dairy, eggs, leather, fur.
I loved leather and fur. Especially fur. I used to wear fur hats in the winter
and even fur coats sometimes. And it was still winter at that time...
Soon, I first met my girlfriend, Cat, who was already a vegan for 3 years or
so... You can imagine how much I admired her for this! She then told me more
about what kind of stuff I could eat or wear and after a while I quit using
leather and fur, except for the shoes. It’s a silly thing, isn’t it? You just
can’t find non-leather shoes and when you find them you may ask “are this
non-leather!?” – “no, no sir, this is leather, good quality leather!”. Even if they are non-leather, some of the
sellers would tell you it’s leather because leather is better – that’s how the
general mentality goes.
To quit dairy and eggs didn’t really make sense to me. Especially since lots of
the dairy and eggs I was consuming were coming from the countryside. I knew you
don’t have to cut the cow to get some cheese and the chickens would lay eggs
anyway.
Only 4 year later, after I got very ill I started to educate myself more about
nutrition. There is a brief description
on how I got ill in my presentation about how I got to Shaolin Cat Boxing, so I
won’t go into all the details here.
There were some confusing skin irritations involved, some unclear medical tests, lots of painkillers and incorrectly
prescribed antibiotics, and even a failed laser surgery and before going
through all these I wasn’t that sick. So all the “medical care” was the one
that hit me the hardest. Then I found out about how bad it is for your health
to consume dairy and eggs, and generally, animal products. The dairy was messing with my intestines and
even with my skin. Each time I would
have dairy I would get constipated and my face would turn red. Each time I had
eggs my liver would hurt real bad.
I’ve read some stuff, watched some documentaries, talked to some people, and
found out that animal protein increases the acidity in your blood and keeps the
inflammation levels high. So then I quit eating dairy and eggs for good. Soon
afterwards I noticed improvements in my skin as it became cleaner and I no
longer had constipation problems. Also,
my intestines didn’t trouble me as bad as they used to. And, surprisingly, my energy levels and my
mood also improved. All the digestion process was much easier and less
troublesome.
Combined with acupuncture, massage, meditation and martial arts training, it
helped me restore my health.
Nowadays, I only eat vegan/complete vegetarian foods and I am extremely
satisfied about my food choices!
SOME
ARGUMENTS:
OUR
ANCESTORS...
Many people think that it is normal to eat animals and since all our ancestors
ate meat and raised animals for food, then we should do the same.
Not really, no. That is our ancestors’ business, not ours. We no longer live in
their times, we live right now. That’s like saying that if your parents eat
this and that, then you should do the same. How about you? You can decide for
yourself!
Besides this, there were plenty of civilizations and tribes who had vegetarian
or complete vegetarian diets – such us the hindu people, some Indian tribes
from South America, some religious sects, and some historians say that even my
ancestors – the dacian barbarians – used to have vegetarian diets. And they weren’t the weakest or the stupidest
people in history! It is very difficult to find out exactly what happened, what
they were eating and why. And in any
case they weren't raising the animals as we raise them today – in an
industrialized and dehumanized manner.
I don’t know why our ancestors chose to raise animals and hunt them... maybe
they just got lazy. It is easier to hunt a rabbit or cut a goat, burn it and
eat it, then to go around all day long and climb trees to pick up fruits. Speaking of fruit picking, our hands and our
feet are designed to climb trees and pick up stuff – like fruits, vegetables,
leaves, roots. Our hands are not designed to kill an animal with a single
strike – like tigers or wolves do. We designed the bow according to our hands
so we can kill the animal with a single strike, but the bow is an invention, it
wasn’t there in nature, waiting for us to find it and use it. Fire was there to
keep us warm and boil water and not to cook meat.
THE CANINES...
Some other people point towards their canines, claiming that we are carnivores,
predators, and it is in our nature to eat meat.
That is a name given to our teeth – an unfortunate name, that’s all. The name
of a tooth can’t tell what our diet should be! Lots of other herbivores have
canines, like gorillas, and they are huge compared to ours! We can use canines to crack nuts, we can’t
crack raw bones with them like carnivores do!
We are not equipped in the same manner as a predator is – we don’t have claws,
we don’t have sharp teeth, we can’t eat raw flesh straight from the animal on a
daily basis without getting sick. We are omnivores, nature gave us the
possibility to eat whatever we want, this doesn’t mean we should eat whatever
we can. If you can eat meat, it doesn’t
mean you should eat meat. You can eat other things too... more disgusting
things... it doesn’t mean they should be the basis of your diet.
Unlike predators, we don’t have short digestive tracks. Carnivores have short
intestines so the meat doesn’t get to rot there. Herbivores have longer
intestines, so all the nutrients in the plants can get to be absorbed before
they get eliminated. Our intestines are huge compared to the intestines of a
predator!
Carnivores have their jaws going up and down. Just like in the case of
herbivores, our jaws go sideways, so we can chew our food.
We do not have camouflage... you see, even cats have camouflage. All the
predators have camouflage. We don’t. Haven’t you noticed how easily spotted we
are when we go for a walk in the forest!? We used our minds to make camouflage,
but I am sure our minds had other better technical purposes. You see, we put
our minds to build atomic bombs too. Although sophisticated, that wasn’t a very
brilliant idea, was it?
THE PROTEIN...
Don’t worry about protein! Worry about clean water, clean air, clean sunlight,
vitamins and minerals... We humans eat
too much protein, not too little! Lack of protein is not the biggest health
threat in the world at the moment, not even in countries affected by hunger!
Meat, dairy and egg production destroy our environment. We are part of this
environment! When the environment is gone, we are history also!
We cut down forests in order to plant mono-cultures which we feed to the
animals – which we keep in detention centers – so we can slaughter them – and
nobody is worried about what happens to the rest of the dead parts or the shit
the animals produce – so we can have hamburgers, pizzas, salami, steaks,
chicken fingers, and so on.
If we care so much about the food we eat, why not respect those who make it
possible for us to have that food!? And how much can you respect somebody if,
in the end, you kill him!?
Besides this... why not use the crops which we feed the animals to feed
ourselves? We grow food so we can feed our food? Just how much sense does that
make to you?
If you want calcium you go and eat the milk from the cow, but where does the
cow get that calcium from? And since she gets it from grass... why not eat the
grass straight away? You need a food processor!?
I know, lots of people think that if we would just all grow our animals, or
have small farms where animals are happy, and well treated, if we wouldn’t hunt
lions for steaks, if we wouldn’t empty all the rivers, seas and oceans for
fish, then we could have a “balanced” diet, and only eat meat once in a while,
“for the protein”. You people don’t get it. It’s as if, instead of charging at
you, beating, kidnapping, raping and slaughtering you... I would first take you
out for an ice cream, buy you a nice present, treat you with a massage, and
only afterwards would I start to beat you, kidnap you, rape you and slaughter
you. It makes no sense. You either let the animal live his life, or you
don’t.
Cows won’t
go extinct if we don’t raise them for steaks and dairy! Nor will chickens... As
a matter of fact, most of the species who got extinct ended up that way because
of us! Because of our food “choices”, forests were cut down... you see, a tree
is for the animals what a block of flats is for the humans! To cut down a
forest means to wipe out a city! And when all your democratic spirit gets
inflamed because nobody should tell you what your food “choices” should be,
tell me, what kind of choices do you give to the animals you eat? You see, I
only have the audacity to talk this way and at the most make you feel bad for
what you eat, but I would never slit your throat just so I can feel good and make a point!
So we do all these horrors just “for
protein”!? Let’s be serious for a while... we can get protein even from
cucumbers! There are tons of proteins in beans, peas, chickpeas, lentils, soya,
mushrooms, nuts, coconuts, peanuts, seeds, some fruits... And, as quite complex nutrition studies
suggest – such as The China Study – it is easier and more healthy for us humans
to absorb plant based proteins than to consume animal based proteins. As far as I know, if you don’t train or
work too much, you need around 50g of
protein/day... that is not very difficult to get! You don’t need to eat a sack
of beans to get that! You can’t possibly get all the calories you need without
getting some protein also!
HEALTH...
I don’t think I have to mention all the health studies now... I mean, even the
United Nations Organization suggested that it would be better for the whole
planet and for the general health of people if everybody would turn
vegan... that would get us rid of a
great amount of problems!
I haven’t done any research on my own to tell you now how healthy it is to eat
this way. I am not a scientist.
There are plenty of documentaries on this subject and there is the largest and
most complex health/nutrition research in the history of mankind – The China
Study – which states that animal protein supports cancer cells growth and
people who follow plant based diets live better and longer. So... just check it
out for yourself. I am sure there are plenty of other studies to support the
animal industry, because, if we would all turn vegan that would put a lot of
rich people in trouble, but if your brain works you should tell good from bad
on your own.
DAIRY AND EGGS...
Yes, you don’t have to kill the cow to get some milk or make some cheese.
Actually, if you kill the cow you won’t get any of these! But, in order to get
more dairy faster, scientists and engineers have invented industrial ways to
grow, keep and milk cows so we can buy the dairy from the supermarket and not
wait for some old grandma to milk her cow and her goats. Also, the cows don’t
give milk if they don’t have baby cows. And what happens to the baby cows since
the milk comes to us? Wasn’t the cow milk supposed to be for the baby cow and
not for the baby human? Didn’t we drink enough human milk while we were babies?
The baby cows are all slaughtered... and the cows are slaughtered as well after
they don’t give milk anymore. So, actually the cows which are kept for dairy
have an even more terrifying life than the cows who are just slaughtered for
steaks.
As for the calcium... the most advanced and numerous cases of osteoporosis are
found in the countries that consume dairy the most – such as France, the
Netherlands. How come they don’t get enough calcium? Well, it turns out that
when you drink a glass of milk the calcium levels in your blood go sky high.
Soon afterwards, they go really low. That is because the dairy, just like any
other animal product, makes your blood acidic. And to counter that acidity,
your body extracts phosphates and calcium from your bones to send it to your
blood. And so, each time you consume dairy you end up having less and less
calcium.
Also, to give more milk, the cows are all fed up with growth hormones and
antibiotics – which end up in the cheese and milk as well, which end up in you.
Beans, walnuts, green leafy vegetables – they all have calcium! Plenty of it!
As for eggs... you should watch what happens to the male chickens. Since male chickens don’t lay eggs they are all scrambled in some creepy metallic machine and then thrown away. Or put in plastic bags and suffocated and the thrown away. Where “away”? Well... somewhere around here, because they don’t send them to space.

Or put in plastic bags and suffocated and the thrown away. Where “away”? Well... somewhere around here, because they don’t send them to space.
And the female chickens, they have their peaks destroyed so they don’t bite
each other and then they are all put in cages and kept there until they die. Do
you think that was the purpose of a chicken on this planet? To be kept in a
cage so it can lay down eggs for you?
And... by the way, do you know what eggs are? Well, in case they want to have
babies they have eggs and so on. But, not all the eggs get out of a chicken so
they can have babies. Some of those eggs are their menstrual cycle! Good luck
with that!
LEATHER & FUR...
Well,
obviously we have plenty of materials to use for clothing, we really don’t need
to get the skin out of an animal to cover ourselves with it. What will that
animal use to cover himself then?! Most of these animals are skinned while they
are still alive... Could you watch something like that?
People made Hemp illegal! We could make hemp clothes and hemp shoes, and even
hemp buildings, that’s how resistant hemp is, not to mention you can eat it and
it has plenty of protein and calcium! We don’t need to skin the animals to keep
ourselves warm in the winter. There are highly developed fabric technologies
nowadays that will keep you warm and safe, we are not in the cave man era any
longer!
As for fur... no, it’s not sexy at all!
To see a furless animal crawling to death is really not sexy! Then you see the
fur of that animal on some girl desperate for attention or on some mindless kid
like I was. Indeed, it’s nice and fluffy but it’s more nice and fluffy when it’s on the living
animal!
TESTS
Another way
to exploit animals is by testing our products on them. We even test our cigarettes on them! But
mostly, we test our pills and our cosmetics on them. Our modern medicine is
pill-based and it is created to counter the disease and not to prevent it.
There is a pill for every ill and there are plenty of other pills to counter
the side-effects of some other ones. Our doctors have very little or no
nutrition studies at all! Food has been used as medicine since ancient times,
it is the most natural and logical way to treat a disease – by controlling what
you put inside yourself. But nowadays, people would eat plenty of
high-fat/high-protein meals and then get a pill to help their digestion...
Herbs & teas are rather seen as a complimentary therapy even for minor affections – such as colds, and
sometimes even yoga practitioners and tai chi instructors doubt their qualities
and go for a bunch of pills when the flu virus hits them. But if you learn what teas to use and how to
drink them, what foods to eat, when and in what quantities, not only can you
prevent lots of diseases but you can also recover yourself from sicknesses that
would otherwise require a handful of pills per day, which would increase the
animal exploitation even more and which would cost you way more than a box of
mint tea.
Cosmetics are most of the time not needed at all! They are here to fulfill our
insatiable need of improving our image. On top of that, too much perfume can
harm your liver. Just to keep yourself clean and tidy you don’t have to use too
many things besides warm water on a regular basis. Plus, nowadays there are
more and more vegan cosmetics available on the market, which haven’t been
tested on animals and which do not contain all the chemical ingredients you’ve
never heard about.
TRAINING, ENERGY AND POTENCY...
You can train even harder if you don’t consume animal products! Since ancient
times, shaolin monks from the Shaolin Temple and Taoist monks from the Wudang
Temple, were strict vegetarians and they were training kung fu every day! Also,
they didn’t buy their food from the supermarket, they had to work for it!
Today, the Shaolin and the Wudang temple still exist! They didn’t starve and
they trained everyday!
For 100 days, I trained everyday, twice a day. 5 days a week for 10 weeks. One
week rest and then again 5 days/week for 10 weeks. Around 5 hours a day. I am
still here... Now, I still train almost
everyday. When I am in a more stable material situation – such as having a home
or having a stable income or enough food – I go again to train this way. And I
eat just the same. Maybe a bit more, but I don’t feel the need for a steak or
things like that.
When you
consume plant based diets your digestion process will thank you! It is easier
for our bodies to digest plants than to digest dead animals. This way you can
train more, because you spend less time and less energy digesting your food.
Since eating more plants, you will eat more carbohydrates and less proteins and
fats! Carbohydrates give you energy, not protein. Protein is processed by our
livers and used to build new cells or repair old ones. Energy doesn’t come from
there. If you have lots of protein, you will have a lot of construction
material in you, but where do you get your fuel from to use those construction
materials?
You can also collect fat – our bodies need an amount of fat, our joints need
it. There are tons of fat in some fruits like coconuts, avocados, walnuts,
peanuts and some other seeds. Actually,
if you are not paying attention you might even get a belly from eating vegan
foods!
Also, chips and coca-cola are also kind of plant based... I am not stating here
that this is the healthiest diet in the world. You still have to think and find
good quality foods!
As for potency... this is ridiculous. People eat steaks and drink red wine and
then start to get horny. It’s not the steak, it’s the red wine! The red wine is
vegetarian! All the aphrodisiacs are vegetarian! Garlic, onions, chilli,
chocolate, bananas, passion fruits, pumpkin seeds, red wine – these are all
plant based! If I go as far as to say that your sexual performance will
actually improve after turning vegan you may say I am boasting... but this is
quite a fact. Also, the smell and taste of your body will improve! That meaning
the smell of your sweat, and the smell and taste of your sperm too!
SOME EXAMPLES...
There are plenty of professional athletes who follow a vegan diet and they
haven’t registered any problems regarding their performances. There are
bodybuilders – like Frank Medrano and Jim Morris, there are ex boxing champions
– like Mike Tyson, there are current pro boxers – like Timothy Bradley and
David Haye, there are freerunners following plant based diets, wrestlers and I am sure there are many other worth
mentioning athletes of which I haven’t yet heard about.
MORALITY & RATIONALITY ...
In Romanian
the word for ”soul” comes from ”breath” (suflu – suflet). So, basically all that
which breathes also has a soul. For me,
the words ”being” (from to be) and the word ”soul” (from to breathe, I don’t know
where the English word comes from) are quite similar. Now, I don’t know that much
about souls but I know quite a lot about pain! And all the animals feel pain!
It’s very simple – they all have that flickering in their eyes, they all want
to live, they all want to feel good and not feel bad, they feel hunger, they
want to have kids, they want to feel safe so they build themselves homes, they
fear and avoid pain. When you hit them they make sounds – not very pleasant
sounds. We don’t have to speak the same
language to figure out that it hurts them! If you speak French and somebody
else speaks Spanish, you don’t have to speak Spanish to figure out if it hurts
that person or not if you hit him/her! And since they feel pain and we know
this, why would we hurt them just to get ourselves food when we know there are
other things we can eat?
You may wonder if a tomato feels pain or not... I don’t know! I really don’t!
But in the case of a cow, I know for sure that the cow feels pain!
I feel that animals are exactly what we are except they have different shapes
and different functionalities... You may
have a thousand tests on them to see how smart they are, how big their IQ is
and so on to see if they actually think, if they really are smart, or if they
are just “animated machines” like that genius of a philosopher said. This whole
approach about testing them is stupid. First of all, in case you prove they are
stupid and inferior compared to us then how do you prove your superiority? By
slaughtering them!? Is this how a superior being behaves with an inferior one?
I for one don’t believe in superior and inferior when it comes to beings, but
you were the ones to start all this testing obsession.
And second of all, if they are superior to us, how can we – with inferior means
– see that they actually are superior? So, I believe, it is nice and all to do
some tests and find out more about their behaviour, but no test can say who is
superior, who is inferior, and how should the superior behave with the
inferior.
And then, what kind of tests do you need to see if they are smarter than us?
Let’s see... who destroyed this planet? If you compare a person who takes care
of his home in such a way that his home takes care of him in return and a
person who destroyed his home to such an extent that he cannot live in that
place anymore, who is smarter?
Who works 24/7 in order to afford to get clothes, food, a family and a home,
and in most cases doesn’t succeed in a lifetime? Us or the rest of the animals?
Just because, technologically, we created some fancy stuff here and there,
while we destroyed our home planet, tortured our own species and made extinct
most of the rest of the species, it doesn’t
mean at all that we are rational, moral beings and they aren’t!
AVAILABILITY & PRICES FOR VEGETARIAN OPTIONS...
Lots of people think that it is expensive, fancy and pretentious to follow a
vegan diet. Let’s start with me again. I am homeless at the very moment I am
writing this. So, you think I can afford to eat this way and you don’t!? Most
of you who read this have stable incomes and homes. I have none of these.
You know why walnuts are more expensive than meat? Because you, all of you,
“choose” to eat meat instead of walnuts! Isn’t it ridiculous that a fruit,
given for free by nature, is more expensive than a steak, which requires
deforestation, monocultures, animal detention centers, slaughterhouses, waste
removal centers, oil for transportation, people to prepare and sell that meat
to you, and sometimes even cook it ?
So, the more people turn vegan, the cheaper it will be for us all to get our
fruits! The other day I saw some cherries in my hometown with 50RON/kg (about
10euro/kg)... and walnuts for 40RON/kg (a bit less than 10 euro/kg). If you buy
meat with those money you can feed a whole family for a few days, but if you
buy a kilo of cherries, how many people will you feed and for how long?
Think about this next time you talk about food “choices”! “The choices” that
you make affect other animals’s lives and other people’s possibilities to feed
themselves!
If you can feed yourself with animal based products with, let’s say, 100
units/month. Don’t worry, you won’t starve nor get sick if you use the same
units to buy plant based foods... such as rice, beans...
TURNING VEGAN...
Turning vegan over night – not a brilliant idea!
Lots of people say it is “difficult” to
“quit” all the food they use to eat and start to search for other foods with
which they are not used... They love the taste of meat, the taste of cheese...
So how can they quit all this just like that?
Well, first of all. You don’t love the taste of meat! You have been programmed
to say and think that you love it. Your parents programmed you this way, the
ads from TV and from the supermarkets programmed you this way, and especially
habit programmed you this way. If you would have grown up in a non-meat based
society, you wouldn’t have loved the taste of meat, would you? So how can you
say that you love the taste of meat? Perhaps you should taste some more vegan
foods, cooked by long time vegans, and then give it a second thought.
Then, if you would truly understand WHY you do this, you wouln't think in terms
of effort and difficulty anymore! It would be a joy, a challenge almost, to see
and discover the variety of options you have ignored for so long! Because,
let’s face it – meat, cheese, milk and eggs are just 4 (four!) types of food!!!
Do you have any idea just how many types of foods we vegans eat!?
So, don’t be in a hurry. Take your time, because I have already seen lots of
people who turned vegan just like that, and after a month or two they got back
to meat also “just like that”. Inform yourself, educate yourself, talk to
people who already do this for a while, learn how to cook... and slowly slowly
quit all the rubbish food you were used to and you will thank yourself later!
I am very well aware of the fact that there are exceptional cases – never met
such cases, only heard of them, but I have no problems mentioning them – when
people started to feel bad after they quit a certain type of animal product. We
are all different and our bodies absorb food differently, you should check for
yourself what kind of food you absorb easier and don’t just follow recipes. But
don’t say that you can’t live without meat or that you’ve done some tests, at
some medical center, and they told you that you are a “meat-eater”. Your body may have been deteriorated in such
a way that it can have a negative reaction when suddenly stopping to feed it
meat... Just like you have a negative reaction when you quit smoking and feel
like smoking. It may take a while. You ate meat and all that for let’s say 20
years... do you think your body will feel great just after one week or one
month of eating vegan?
Take your time and I am sure that nothing extraordinarily bad will happen to
you if you quit eating dead animals!
AS A CONCLUSION....
I wrote all
this not so I convince some of you to turn vegan. Convincing people is not my
cup of tea! If I convince you of anything it means somebody else can convince
you of exactly the opposite. You have to find out for yourself and check for
yourself.
Give it a
try, find your own rhythm. It’s like quitting smoking. It’s stupid to give
methods to people to quit smoking and people who follow such methods are
childish. They never work. When I quit smoking I just quit smoking. That was
all. End of story. And I first smoked a cigarette when I was 9. Last time I
smoked a cigarette was when I was around 23 years old or so. Some people start
to just smoke less and less, some people smoke till they get sick, some people
put stickers all around the house, some people stick some crazy stuff on their
skin... it’s your own job, you’ll find a
way! If you really want it and if you understand that killing animals is wrong
and that other food options are available, you will find a way, I am sure of
this! I am not going to tell you how to become vegan now...
I wrote all this so people understand at least why I do it and how come it
works for me. I hope I didn’t make you
feel too bad if you still eat meat, like I said, I used to eat meat also, I
know how it feels! And I wouldn’t have liked somebody to come and make me feel
stupid for this, as a matter of fact, that would have only gotten me further
away from turning vegan!
Go get yourself some fruits and think about it!
